Overview
A quiet town in the far northeast corner of Oswego County, the town of Redfield specializes in outdoor activities. The Salmon River Reservoir is a great place for fishing and hiking, while state forests abound in the town. Battle Hill State Forest, Salmon River State forest, Hall Island State Forest and more are all available for hiking, fishing, trapping and more. For those looking to test out their nautical skills, Redfield has four boat launches, including on state Department of Environmental Conservation plots on county Route 17 and Jackson Road.
