OverviewThe town of Granby is nestled in the southwest corner of Oswego County, a few minutes’ drive from the City of Fulton or Oswego. Granby is a mostly rural community that contains a long shoreline on Lake Neatahwanta, and the town has several small and large businesses, including a Walmart Supercenter, roller skating rink and convenience store. Battle Island State Park sits on the west bank of the Oswego River in the town’s northeast corner, and boasts an 18-hole golf course and snowshoeing opportunities in the winter.
Access to fishing and recreation on Lake Neatahwanta within the town can be found at North Bay Campgrounds. A drive-in theatre in the nearby Town of Minetto shows movies during the summer months, and Thunder Island Recreation Center provides water rides and summertime fun for children and families of all ages. It’s just a 30 minute drive to the City of Syracuse, and a short day trip to Albany, Rochester, Buffalo, or anywhere along the shores of Lake Ontario.
